Considerations

  • Epoxy resin is two-component and cannot be used without mixing the components.
  • Do not use outside the specified application thickness range. Low thickness may cause late drying and high thickness may cause burning / yellowing problem.
  • Never heat the product during mixing and application.
  • Use a hot air gun to remove surface foam, or you can quickly pass a blue burner flame from the surface.
  • Use a vacuum machine to completely eliminate the possibility of air bubbles.
  • When preparing the mixture of products, always use sensitive scales.
  • For whatever reason, do not mix any material that does not fit the system into the product.
  • Make sure that the equipment you use during the application is dry and clean.
  • Take care to do the applications at room temperature (+23 ° C).
  • Low temperature may cause late drying and high temperature may cause premature drying.
  • Low temperature causes thickening in the consistency of the products and may cause differences in application results.
  • Low temperatures may cause crystallization in resins. Before using, allow the crystallized resin to dissolve by exposing it to +60 ° C to +80 ° C temperature.
  • Do not move the system until you are sure that the spilled product is completely hardened. Otherwise, it may cause undulation on the surface.
  • Do not forget to use work safety equipment.
  • Avoid contact with your skin.
  • Epoxy resins can cause allergies. If you observe an allergic reaction on your body, consult a doctor immediately.
  • Store the unused product indoors at temperatures between +15 and +35 ° C, away from direct sunlight.
  • Do not keep the products with the cover open.
  • Keep away from children.
  • Do not leave the products obtained as a result of the mixture under direct sunlight.
  • Yellowing inside the package may occur in products that are waiting unused.

Grip Fast Epoxy Resin FAQ

What is the purpose of Grip Fast epoxy resin?

Resinin Grip Fast can be used for PCB coating, conformal coating, PCB protection and all electrical and electronic coatings. It is a high-performance, double-component epoxy coating that protects the PCB from moisture corrosion and mechanical damage.

Resinin Grip Fast is an advanced material with a wide variety of applications in the field of electronics. It provides excellent protection against environmental factors such as humidity, water, oils, some acids, some bases and atmospheric gases. Resinin Grip Fast can be applied to both the top surface or bottom surface of a board to provide protection against moisture penetration through solder joints or through holes in the board's ground plane

This product has excellent adhesive properties which make it suitable for applications in demanding environments like avionics and military equipment.

How to use Grip Fast

Electrical circuit boards (a.k.a. PCB) are exposed to a variety of harsh environments. This can lead to short circuits and other problems. To protect the board, a thin layer of protective material is applied. This process is called PCB coating or Epoxy coating.

The PCB coating process is a very important step in the production of any electronic device. The coating prevents corrosion and contamination from damaging the PCB.

You can use Grip Fast in 4 easy steps:

Measure: The first step is to measure out the amount of epoxy you need to coat your PCB with. You should measure out about 2 mm of epoxy per square cm of board surface area, and then pour it on the board evenly. You can use our Epoxy Calculator for measure.

Mix: Next, mix together the resin and hardener in a disposable cup or container, following the user manual. Make sure that they are thoroughly mixed before pouring them onto your PCB.

Pour: Finally, pour the mixed resin and hardener onto your PCB while making sure that they are evenly spread out.

Wait: The PCB needs to be left for a certain amount of time before it can be handled. Grip Fast needs to cure, which takes about 2 hours. A good rule of thumb is to allow the epoxy to cure for at least 2 hours before handling the PCB.

What is mixing ratio of Grip Fast?

It is important to mix the epoxy resin and hardener at the right ratio to ensure that the adhesive will set properly. The mixing ratio for Grip Fast is

  • 2:1 by weight

  • 100:55 by volume

You can mix Grip Fast epoxy resin with a ratio of 2 parts hardener to 1 part resin by weight or 100 parts hardener to 55 parts resin, both are right methods.

When you use the mixing ratio by weight, you should use a scale. When you are using the mix ratio by volume, you should use measuring cups. If you are not sure which one to use, we recommend that you use the scale because it is more accurate.

The Grip Fast epoxy resin is a two-component system which means it needs two separate components, hardener and resin, to form a strong bond. To calculate the amount of epoxy resin to use, you need to know how many resin you will need.

Our Epoxy Calculator page can help you calculate the epoxy mixing ratio for your project. All you need to do is enter the dimensions of your project and our calculator will do the rest.

Do I need to have any technical knowledge to use Grip Fast?

Grip Fast is a two-part epoxy resin that can be cured at room temperature. All you need to do is mix the two components together and then pour it on your PCB. This epoxy has an excellent grip and it can be used for many different purposes.

The Grip Fast epoxy resin is easy to use for beginners, but it also has many advanced features that make it perfect for professionals. It has a high strength, low viscosity, and good adhesion properties. All you need to do is follow the steps in the user manual and you will be able to complete your project without any difficulty.

Which types of materials do Grip Fast resist?

Epoxy is a strong, hard and versatile material. It can be used in many different applications and is one of the most popular materials for PCBs. Epoxy has many properties that make it an excellent choice for PCBs and other applications. One of these properties is its resistance to many fluids.

Grip Fast is a type of epoxy that has additional features to resist acids and bases as well as other types of fluids. This is an excellent choice for applications that interact with many substances.

Grip Fast resists acids, bases, water, and oils, making it perfect for use in PCBs or any application where there are liquids present that could damage the epoxy over time.

What are the cold and hot resistance ratings of Grip Fast?

Grip Fast is a high-performance epoxy coating with a very low viscosity. It is resistant to cold temperatures, it has a limited strength of +120 °C and a continuous strength of +70 °C.

Grip Fast can be used in various applications such as on the outside of pipes, tanks, water tanks and boilers in order to protect them from corrosion and chemical attack. Grip Fast is used in many different industries like construction, the automotive industry, and even aerospace.

Grip Fast is a two-component, high-strength epoxy. Grip Fast can withstand constant cold down to -20 °C and has limited strength of +120 °C and a continuous strength of +70 °.
